Guy Rohling, Managing Director, is responsible for serving the firm’s clients in Virginia, the District of Columbia and Maryland, as well as relationship management with lobbying consultants around the country.

Guy has extensive experience working on a wide variety of issues, including appropriations; environment; financial services; healthcare; information technology (IT); manufacturing; pharmaceutical; procurement; retail; transportation; and workers’ compensation.

A well-respected lobbyist in the political and business community, Guy is known for his integrity and exceptional advocacy and management skills. Over the past 30 years, he has established strong professional relationships with legislative leadership, senior officials in executive branch agencies. Governors’ offices, and other key political decision-makers around the country. He also has a wide range of business and local association and organization contacts.

During his tenure with Albers & Company, Guy has represented client interests in many political organizations, including the Democratic Governors Association (DGA), Republican Governors Association (RGA), Southern Governors Association (SGA), Southern Legislative Conference (SLC), National Black Caucus of State Legislators (NBCSL), American Legislative Exchange Council (ALEC), the National Conference of State Legislatures (NCSL), and the National Association of Counties (NACo).

Prior to joining Albers & Company in 1994, Guy owned his own government relations firm in Raleigh, representing a variety of clients before the North Carolina legislature. From 1978-1991, he served as Senior Government Relations Manager for Household International, a large diversified financial services company.

Guy received his bachelor’s degree from the University of South Carolina.

Ian Weir

Ian Weir, Director for the Midwest, is based in Columbus, Ohio, and represents clients at the executive, state, and local levels of government on regulatory, legislative and procurement issues in Ohio and the Midwestern states.

Ian has extensive experience in both the public and private sectors, and a strong network of political and business contacts. Prior to joining Albers & Company in 2012, Ian served as Manager of Government Affairs at the Law Offices of Matthew G. Kallner, where he represented corporate interests in a wide range of industries including healthcare, financial services, pharmacy, retail, government procurement, insurance, information technology, gaming, manufacturing and education.

Prior to his lobbying career, Ian served as Legislative Liaison for the Ohio Department of Commerce, where he represented the policies of the Governor and the Department before the Ohio General Assembly and various Boards and Commissions.

He has also held positions in the Ohio House of Representatives as Assistant Director of Communications and as a Legislative Aide for a State Representative.

Ian is an alumnus of the Ohio Legislative Service Commission Fellowship Program and holds a Master of Arts degree from Case Western Reserve University and a Bachelor of Arts degree in Political Science from Miami University of Ohio.

Lou Ann Lagana, Office Manager, supports and manages the day-to-day activities of the firm, including financial and human resource management; compliance and lobbying filings; and legislative tracking, research, and analysis.

In addition, Lou Ann is involved in client development and lobbying efforts, drafting marketing proposals and contracts, scheduling legislative meetings, creating briefing materials, and preparing client reports.

Prior to joining Albers & Company in 1995, she served as Office Manager at the National Association of Student Personnel Administrators in Washington, D.C. Before locating to D.C., she lived in Syracuse, New York and worked as a data entry/bookkeeping assistant at an accounting firm and as an administrative assistant at a computer programming company while attending college.

She received her Bachelor of Arts degree from Syracuse University.
